Day 1: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Zagora.
In the morning departure towards Zagora across the Tizi-n-Tinifift pass, to reach Agdez then the Draa valley. You will take the unpaved road starting from Tansikht villages through the forest of the palm trees towards the Oasis of Zagora where you will stop for lunch at the kasbah Asma. After lunch, you will visit the first sand dunes of Tinfou and the mediaeval library of Tamegroute with its old Koranic books which go back to 11 th century. Check into the hotel in Zagora.
Day 2: Zagora – Erfoud – Dunes of Merzouga.
Departure for Merzouga through the Djbl Tafilalet crossing the stone desert over the Anti Atlas with its lunar landscapes. You will stop for lunch in Tazarine. In this area, there are desert landscapes and fortified villages, which used to be the old caravan road bringing gold from South Africa to exchange for sugar and salt. You will continue to the dunes of Merzouga and exchange your 4×4 with camels and ride to spend the night in the oasis in the heart of the dunes of Erg Chebi.
Day 3: Erfoud-Gorges of Todra-Valley of Roses-Ouarzazate.
You will wake up early and walk across the dunes to see the beautiful sunrise. You will have your breakfast, pack your gear and ride back to where the car and the driver are waiting to pick you up. Then, visit of the berber market of Rissani. You will drive across the desert landscape and see many fortified villages in the magnificent palm gardens of the Ziz Valley. Arrive into Tinghir. You will stop for lunch in the heart of the spectacular Todra Gorges, with its huge, breathtaking red cliffs. Ride for a walk to discover the palm grove of Tinghir. Return to Ouarzazate along the Thousand Kasbahs Road and the Roses valley.
